Google is light years ahead of the competition when it comes to artificial intelligence. They have the data, the engineers, and the curiosity to push its latest demo Google Duplex to the next stage of the A.I. industry’s advancement.

The Turing Test was established by Alan Turing just over 50 years ago. Dr. Turing was a computer scientist that stated artificially-intelligent machines exist when a computer is indistinguishable or surpasses human capabilities. Given the Google Duplex demonstration is real and Pichai isn’t playing a hoax on us, it proves that humanity has officially passed the Turing Test.
It’s taken us some time to get here, but we can see that the future is now. Google Duplex seamlessly integrates some very deep tech that includes speech-to-text recognition, natural language processing, and machine-learning algorithms. What is impressive is it can pick up on unfinished or grammatically incorrect sentences and add natural nuances to the conversation.
What does this mean?
Believe it or not, we’re just scraping the surface of this technology. Imagine not having to occupy your time with the little things like long call wait times or having the ability to receive numerous price quotes from mechanics before booking? Since day one, Google has separated itself from the pack by providing exceptional value to its users and we’re entering a world where AI will save humans from mundane tasks and continue to increase human capacity.
How soon it will come, we don’t know, but the Google Duplex proves that it’s closer than we think.
